As you are aware, there are major bushfires happening right now. Australia is burning up from bushfires, the air is thick with smoke, millions of animals are dying and being severely injured, fellow Australians are tragically dying and communities are being destroyed.
I've decided to put a fundraising raffle together of some of my older stock of Yarnotion yarns. I'm hoping to raise $2500 and I will donate all money raised to the CWA NSW branch. I'll be donating the money directly to their Disaster Relief fund.
Details of the raffle:
You are buying a raffle ticket to win this bundle of yarn, a total of 10 skeins: eight DK & two fingering weights (rrp is $250). There will be 250 tickets available for sale. Please remember, you will NOT receive an actual physical product from this purchase, you will be receiving a virtual raffle ticket into the draw to win this yarn.
After all the tickets have been sold, I will allocate numbers to every ticket (manually) then I will draw a number using www.random.org The winner will be announced via my blog (CraftyRie.com) and via social media. The winner will be contacted via email from the Etsy purchase listing and I will then arrange for the prize to be mailed to the winner. I will screenshot a copy of the receipt from the donation to the CWA NSW on my blog.
This raffle is only for Australians as to keep postage costs to a minimum.
Thank you for purchasing a ticket in the raffle.
Please share with your friends and lets hope for rain soon.
Note: if this raffle is a success then I shall put together another couple of bundles and maybe a couple of project bags too.
So please help me to keep CraftyRie up and running by clicking on my aff links! Many thanks, Rie

would I be able to buy a ticket and if I was so lucky to win would you be able to send the winnings to someone who lost their stash?
ReplyDeleteThe lucky winner will be contacted via email to confirm postal address - so you could then give the address of whomever/where ever it was to be posted within Australia.
