Crochet love

I popped a piccie up on Instagram and it turns out that people LOVE it and keep asking questions via the piccie post & via dm ..so here are the answers!

What is that fab yarn? 
The coloured yarn is Cascade 220 Superwash and it is treat to work with.
The creamy white is Heirloom 8ply Baby Merino - it matches in perfectly. 
I bought the lot via Little Woollie Makes, she is just awesome and helped me picked the colour palette out.

 What is that stitch/pattern?
The pattern is via Felted Button and is the Abacus Blanket pattern - easily memorised and fun to crochet.

What am I making?
Shh, it's a secret but it's a surprise baby blanket for a friend but no telling, ok!

    I do love Cascade 220! I've only just used it for the first time and I'm hooked. I think part of the reason this photo drew me personally was because it looks like cake. Delicious, delicious cake. That's one lucky baby!
