Knitty news, nice stuff & a winner!

This is the yarn for my VAL, do you like it? It's soft & squishy and I'm having fun playing with it.  Maybe you would like to see what it knits up like?  Hmm??

What do you think? I'm loving the pattern, it is super easy but I'm teaching myself a new way to knit and gosh, I'm so slow!   I decided that at the start of the year, one of my main goals would be to speed up my knitting but in order to speed up my knitting, I needed to learn a faster knitting technique which, ironically, is slowing me down!  Also, as I'm a teaching myself this new knitty style, the tension on the garment is super tight! I had to undo my first attempt & start again with a needle that was two sizes bigger!

Anyway, patience is a virtue ... so I will keep plugging along on this & hopefully by the time it's finished I'll be fast, maybe even super speedy!
