I'm totally impressed with myself! I designed, knitted, then frogged, then redesigned, then frogged & redesigned (several times) this dress for my baby girl!
It is knit from the top-down, using one ball of fab slinky cotton/bamboo sock yarn (that I got from here), I wanted to showcase how fantastic the yarn was, that is why the dress is called The Yarn Talker & also why there is very little detailing in the dress.
It has a simple garter stitch yoke with an 'ever so slight' bigger back/neckline than the front neckline. It also has a snap closure on the back shoulder - mainly designed for my hubby so he can tell the difference from the back to the front & so that the outfit will fit as the child grows.
It is also designed initially as a dress that as baby grows, it will grow into a tunic then into a top.
There is an ever so slight flair near the knees with an I-cord bind off to add a little extra weight to the hem so it won't roll up.
So... do you like it? Do you think others will like it? Shall I make up the pattern for others?
