This is a very belated Taa Daaa! I finished this at the start of February but my life has been really screwey lately so I'm lucky to get this taa daaa up on my blog at all!
Back in January, via Instagram I started a KAL (knit-a-long) with Wool Diaries. It was a spur of the moment decision to do it, I dashed to my stash & found some sock yarn, the printer was actually working for once - so yep, it was a go for the KAL!
I've never knitted a shawl before so I was eager to start. BUT.... eeks, the pattern was boring! It was a repetitive pattern but hey, if we had actually gone our super long 8hr car trip like we had planned, it would have been an ace to do in the car!
What I really liked about the pattern were the scallops on the last two rows - they are knitted & I had never done anything like them before & am super impressed by them!
There are more pics of the shawl on Ravelry here as well as the pattern details if you so wish to knit this yourself!
Have you ever participated in a KAL or CAL or SAL?? (crochet or sew along?) I found that being a part of a KAL kept me motivated, kept me interested & was helpful for any questions that popped up along the way.
Do you know of any KAL's or CAL's that are about to start or perhaps you are planning to create one yourself?
As always it is very lovely. So great to see you back!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors!
ReplyDeleteI've found -along's to be great for inspiration but I'm just not a chatty enough type person to get quite as much out of them as I might like.
