This crochet project has been put on hold whilst I source some yarn to join it it, so I've bagged & tagged it & popped it into my cupboard.... let's just hope it doesn't stay there for 10 years!!

Fabric sorting

Hello! How are you? What are you doing today?
Me? Well, I'm sorting my fabric, I've decided to sort it into colour piles - you know, yellows, oranges, pinks/reds, blues, brown etc ... but I need your help with these ones..

Sometimes you stumble across someone that just blows your mind.
I was searching Ravelry for hat patterns when I stumbled upon this ace hat. 

 

So, like always, I search the designers page for other patterns (see below).

         

And then I read the designers profile, this lass is just 14 years old - yes, that's right I said 14 years old and she is already a fab knitting designer!!

Taa daa or better known as "Phew, I'm glad that's finished!!"

Remember late last year I was knitting a shawl?  Well, anyway I was!  I was knitting it on the long car trips that we had (3-4hours each way) up to the hospital to visit relatives. Well, the relatives are long out of hospital and the shawl is finally finished!

A memory to cherish

Hello world. 
I am writing this note to myself, a memory to keep as a moment has passed me by.
As you may know, I am a mum. 
I'm a mother to my beautiful, intelligent, creative, cheeky son Joe aka bubba. 
Bubba is now 19months old and I have been breastfeeding him right up to this point but today it ceases. Today, as of this morning, I no longer breastfeed my child. sob.
Yes, I have made the decision to cease booby feeding my son.
Why?  Well, after a nearly a week of nibbles, chews & giggles - I have discovered that he is using this 'booby' time as a game and the game is getting old.

Mumma, Dadda & bubba only hours old.

I'm stuck here at the computer cos it's taken me 2hours to get bubba to nap - so that means I'm stuck up the other end of the house so I don't wake him, luckily there is a heater & the internet!
