Can I show and tell?
This is my hand bag that I knitted - just plain garter stitch, 2 squares were knitted and sewn together and lined with some fabric with wooden handles sewn in.
No pattern was used (maybe you can tell!), I just went with the flow and think it turned out ok. Well, ok enough for me to use on an everyday basis!

Rag Rug Tool?
This mysterious tool was found lurking in a stash of material.
I'm a little stumped what it could be used for... the best I can come up with is for a rag rug.
Do you have any suggestions?

"I can help with that"
Mr spotted my pile of tangled yarn that I was just about to scoop up and throw in the rubbish bin.
"Let me untangle that" he says, "I've spent years untangling fishing line".
Two hours and several days later, the yarn is in the rubbish bin!

Softer hues.... it's looking good
So here's what the blanket is looking like.
I'm really enjoying the - join as you go - way of joining the squares!
The colours aren't too 'airy fairy' are they? The blanket is for a baby boy....

Ahh (she sighs a breath of relief)
So, I just happened to be in the city yesterday (Melbourne) andI thought, 'well I'm walking past Lincraft, why not pop in and see if they have restocked the yarn that I'm out of'.
And sigh, yes, they were - except the green but I picked up another that was almost the same colour & texture.
All I have to do now is finish the softer hues baby blanket and then pick up the 'dumped' brighter baby blanket.
And then I need to somehow turn a 7 day week into a 10 day week, add a few extra hours to each day, find oodles & bundles of energy to handle the extra time. Oh, I may as well throw in winning the lotto as the apartment is overflowing with craft and books and gosh, I guess if my nose was smaller and my waist was thinner too....

Softer hues
So, this is take two with the baby blanket. I have chosen softer hues to make this blanket for a friend - I thought it was a lot 'safer', as I'm not sure what colour schemes she has in her home.
The main colour will be white.
This is what I have made so far....
